Iron(y) contains one series, which is divided in two sub-series. The two sub-series are different from technique, form and looks. Both series express the feeling of the influence of an enormous party, called “Iron”. One part of the series a triptych shows the impressive environment, where the party is located. By the massive architecture, you can feel the party’s largeness. The other series shows some portraits of the party members, but if you take a closer look, you’ll find out that the members show some similar details… Although a single person per image is shown, the huge size of the party is present. The format of the triptych is 80×100 cm, to make the impact of the locations stronger. The portraits will be shown in a smaller size 53×43 cm.
The series Iron(y) has been published in GUP magazine #01, 2005.
Iron(y) is rewarded with two awards; The Silver jury-award and The Best of Members award in the category ‘People/Portraits’ of the PANL Award#15, 2006 (Photographers Association of the Netherlands).
